Anxiety, Stress, Behavioural issues: the Role of Nutrition & Supplements
Anxiety, Stress and Behavioural Issues in Horses: The Role of Nutrition and Supplements
It is well accepted that nutrition plays an important role in the behaviour of our horses and ponies. But how exactly does it influence their behaviour and how do we feed them to not only help them be calm and happy, but also ensure we meet key nutrient requirements and promote the best overall health? Are supplements any use for the horse with behavioural issues, and if so, how do we know what makes a good supplement? How long should we give the supplement for? And what else do we need to be aware of when using supplements?
In this insightful talk, Camilla answers all these questions and more. If you’ve ever struggled with a horse with behavioural issues, then you can’t afford to miss this presentation.
Having no affiliation with feed or supplement companies, Camilla presents information in a non-biased, informative and helpful manner.

Gut Health in Horses & Ponies
Gut Health in Horses and Ponies: The Important Roles of the Gut and Promoting Good Gut Health
Gastrointestinal ‘gut’ health is central to overall health in our horses and ponies. It plays a significant role in immune function, allergies, fertility, metabolic health, laminitis, behaviour, skin health and respiratory health. But what exactly is ‘good’ gut health? How do we feed and manage our horses to promote good gut health? Do we really need to give our horses gut health supplements to ensure they have good gut health? Do we have to feed them grain free feeds? And how do ulcer mediations influence gastrointestinal health in our horses?
There are so many questions when it comes to promoting gut health in our horses and so much marketing which can make it difficult for horse people to make informed choices. Camilla helps to answer some of the most common and complex questions in relation to gut health in our horses. Learn why gut health is so much more than merely the presence or absence of gastric ulcers, how to best feed your horse to promote gut health and the role that specific supplements can play to help promote optimal gut health in our equines.
