Godolphin Partners with EQUITANA in 2018 to Celebrate 20 Years

EQUITANA is thrilled to announce that Godolphin, the world’s largest thoroughbred breeding and horseracing team founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, will be a new sponsor this year.

Team Godolphin spans across four continents, from their home in Dubai to Europe, Australia, Japan and America. They work tirelessly to take the lead in both the lifetime care of horses and also the professional development of people working within the industry.

“Our horses enjoy a quality of life with each one given the opportunity to thrive from day one thanks to our modern facilities and each member of staff bearing a wealth of experience and knowledge,” Vin Cox, Managing Director of Godolphin in Australia said.

The Godolphin Lifetime Care program, through their rehoming initiative, focusses on ensuring all Godolphin horses enjoy a second career. Whether they are stars in the making, top-performing racehorses, parenting the next generation at stud or retirees, all Godolphin horses are assured the best quality care and attention from their global network of one thousand plus employees.

“Thoroughbreds are a versatile and athletic breed and can be retrained for many other disciplines, such as jumping, dressage, polo, hunting and as pleasure horses,” Mr Cox said. “Our priority is the welfare of the horses and we want them to be able to go on to successfully fulfil other roles once their racing careers have finished. Our passion for the sport extends beyond the racetrack as Godolphin aims to have a positive, long-lasting impact on the industry and our local communities worldwide.”

The Godolphin Lifetime Care program in Australia has successfully rehomed Godolphin ex-racehorses in the New South Wales police force, polo and eventing disciplines.
