Melbourne Showgrounds train station will be in operation during EQUITANA Melbourne.

We have limited parking onsite for EQUITANA. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the free public transport on offer with your ticket.

Two bus routes will get you to the Melbourne Showgrounds. Route 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road & Route 404 (Footscray to Moonee Ponds) stops on the corner of Epsom and Ascot Vale Roads.

Take the Route 57 tram (West Maribyrnong to Elizabeth Street, City) and disembark at Stop 32 (Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre on Epsom Road).

- 404 service from Footscray to Moonee Ponds and disembark at Ascot Vale Rd/Epsom Rd OR
- 472 service from Willamstown to Moonee Ponds and disembark at Langs Rd/Epsom Rd

CAR PARK SHUTTLE
A Shuttle Bus Service that does a constant loop between the carparks and Gate B entrance on all 4-days of the event will run daily.
- Shuttle services the carpark between 8am and 10:30pm , Thurs to Saturday and 8am to 7pm Sunday.
- 3 Shuttle Stops from the Carpark
KENSINGTON STATION
A shuttle bus on Thursday and Friday only will run from 3pm-7pm, from Melbourne Showgrounds Drop Off Location to Kensington Station.
special trains
thursday 14th & Friday 15th November
Special Trains will depart from Flinders Street (Platforms 8/9), stopping at Southern Cross (Platform 14) and North Melbourne (Platform 6), then run express to the Showgrounds.
Trains Depart Flinderst street as follows:
- Every 30 minutes from 8:55am until 9:55am
- Every 40 minutes from 9:55am until 2:00pm
During the above periods, services will return express back to Flinders Street
- Every 30 minutes from 6:55pm until 7:55pm
Last train leaves the Showgrounds station at 10pm.
From 9pm until 10pm, trains returning to Flinders Street will depart every 20 minutes.
Between 9pm and 10pm, trains will stop at North Melbourne (Platform 5) and Southern Cross (Platform 13) en route to Flinders Street.
Between 3pm and 7pm, whilst trains are not running to the Showgrounds, we will provide a shuttle service from Kensington Station. The shuttle will do constant loops from Kensington Station to the Gate B entrance.
saturday 16th november
Trains run express from Flinders Street Station (Platform 10), stopping at Souther Cross (Platforms 14) amd North Melbourne (Platform 6) stations, then express to Melbourne Showgrounds.
Trains Depart Flinderst street as follows:
- Every 20 minutes from 8:40am until 9:20am
- Every 45 minutes from 9:20am until 8:35pm
Before 1:20pm services will return express back to Flinders Street. After 1:20pm, services will stop at North Melbourne and Southern Cross en route to Flinders Street.
Last train leaves the Showgrounds station at 10pm.
